They had lived in the same house for over 40 years. They used to know everyone on their street, but neighbors had come and gone and some were friendlier than others. Still, they were the local historians and they had a good handle on who everyone was. Their neighborhood was quiet and they liked it that way. Jill frowned. "I don't like it. No, I don't like it at all." They watched the movers carry in a wood dresser with blue painted flowers on the side. "Tacky," Jill said, clicking her tongue.
